When you adapt to the context of space which is the physical limits and boundaries which need to be efficient and life-friendly, when you go to the context of always changing you need to make sure that you achieve and responsive because you have to kind of do them both, integration is a critical one. So the point about this piece that I’m doing now because you’re in context, think about how to be more efficient and how to be life-friendly at the same time. So context, what we have to do to keep function in context is make sure you put the form to the function, in context. Don’t decide on a form and then try and force your function to be into the context. It is essentially what we do. We decide, I’m going to build a house, build a Tuscan Villa and it doesn’t fit the function of cooling or regulating temperature and all the other functions that you need. It only fits the function of looking good, so what are all the other contexts you need to take into account. But nature doesn’t only fit form to function in context, nature fits forms to integrated multi-functions. Multifunctional is one level but integrated multifunctions is enabled because there are feedback loops. This tree is meeting way more than one function. This leaf is meeting way more than one function. This tree and this tree are meeting way more than one function and when they integrate it leads to multifunction as an ecosystem as well. So individual components have multifunctions, and like a leaf captures energy, stores carbon, produces oxygen, drives water cycle and turns into materials that build the soil. Multiple functions. So does the tree have multiple functions, and so does the forest have multiple functions…
