Twee Rivier is a small hamlet about 2 km’s out of Joubertina, which is where the team stayed the night. On the other side of the farm is an organic teaching farm called the Belfry. Here students learn how to grow and raise the food and then how to cook it so that it was real. After the students had eaten every morning, the public could go and have breakfast. So we took the students and the team, and went there. If you want the maximum health from your food you need to allow the animal to have a life that it would naturally have, so that it can eat the food that it would naturally eat, and it doesn’t develop stress hormones. These were chickens that were having exactly that.
